Purple and Blue and Pink - Oh My!

Hi!!!!! Its Friday!!!! Here is a look I did using the BH Cosmetics 120 Color 3rd Edition palette. This look is fun and colorful, but not too bright or over the top. I dont typically wear really colorful looks (more of a netrual girl), so this one is right up my alley. Its probably about as bold as I will go (on the eyes at least) and still staying in my comfort zone. I usually save my creatively, boldly colored eyes for looks I do on other people. But you never know, I might even surprise myself one day and step out with some florecent yellow eye shadow! LoL :)

Sultry Eyes Using 28 Neutral Palette

The BH Cosmetics 28 Neutral Palette has to be one of my favs! I use this all the time - Its one of my go-to products and one that I would refer to everyone!  It is probably one of the most talked about (and affordable) palettes amongst makeup junkies. This is a great alternative for the Urban Decay Naked palettes. Its around $20 for 28 neutral shades with a mix of different finishes - some matte, some shimmery (Urban Decay Naked Palettes are $50 and contain less shadows). The color pay off and pigmentation of these shadows rivals MAC - In fact every shade is a dupe of a MAC shade. This palette is also ideal for those that are just getting into makeup and are afraid of bright, bold colors and want to start with shadows that will work on every skintone. With the mix of light, medium, dark and darker shades, the number of looks you can create is really endless. Its perfect for starting with a basic daytime eye and then turning it into a night look!

Natural Everyday Look - Using only 5 Products

Heyy! Its....Only Tuesday....(sad face). lol So, I went to bed way too late last night and needed to get those few extra minutes of sleep this morning. I had to just pull my hair back and run out the house - no makeup! Yikes! Since I had to hurry and do my makeup at my desk once I got to work, it had to be a quick process. This then gave me the idea for a post! Ahhh!!! May I present to you my 5 min face using only 5 products!!

This is a quick and easy look for the girl who's running late (aka ME lol), the mom who doesn't have a whole lot of time to spend getting ready, or women who just want something that looks natural and is easy breezy!

Here are the product essentials:
-Foundation (make sure it matches your skin tone perfectly. Matte foundations will work best without having to use powder. If you have dry skin go for a cream foundation that has a semi-matte finish. For those whose skin is not in need of foundation and pretty evenly toned (I am jealous), then you could skip this or just go with a dusting of powder. Powder foundations are really great too as you can determine how much coverage you want - light to full coverage. To get light coverage with a powder foundation, dust on using a fluffy brush like a kabuki brush.)
-Blush (choose a color that just naturally enhances your cheeks - nothing to bright or shimmery)
-Eyeliner Pencil (Browns for light/medium skin tones -Black may look too harsh or make the look appear incomplete - like you forgot to put an eye shadow on first. Black for dark skin tones. If you draw it on too thick or too harsh use a q-tip to smudge it out and look more natural)
-Mascara (Which ever is your Fav!)
-Lipstick (Pick a color that is close to your natural lip color and gives just a hint of color.)

Products I Used
MAC Studio Fix Fluid
MAC Blushbaby Blush
MAC Teddy Eyeliner
L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara
L'Oreal Fairest Nude Lipstick

COLOR Eyes For Fun!

I had some fun this weekend playing with my BH Cosmetics 3rd Edition Pallet. I really enjoy this palette with its wide array of colors. The main reason I was drawn to the 3rd edition (there are now 5 different editions) is because of the balance of neutral colors and bright colors. Its a great palette to take with you when you are traveling, for someone who is just starting out their collection or even those who are looking to add some COLOR! The packaging is ideal too as its slim and isn't bulky, but still packs an endless possibility of looks.

Kim K Inspired Look

Happy Friday!! My friend requested that I do a Kim Kardashian look. We all know KK is all about doing up the eyes and a nude or pink lip. This is my version of a traditional Kardashian inspired look. What do you think??

MAC Lady Danger!!

OK! I can really say that MAC's Lady Danger lipstick is my all time favorite!! (Of course this is subject to change...lol) This color is a bright orange-red and makes a simple neutral look POP! I just love love love it!

I feel like this color was made just for me - made to be my signature color! ;) I get so many compliments every time I wear it. BH Cosmetics Party Girl Palette: Smokey Eye

I recently got the BH Cosmetics Party Girl palette and couldn't wait to put it into use!! I love the range of colors and possibility of looks packed into a palette that is the perfect size for traveling or to just throw in your purse on the go.

Here is a look that I did for my cousin. I did a smokey eye - Who doesn't look good with or love a sassy, smokey eye?

2 Stars on Stage - Apollo Night

A few months ago I had the privilege of doing the makeup for 2 of my favorite girls - Aliya and Daziah - for their performances at the Apollo Night Talent Search at South Mountain Community College. We kept their looks neutral and let their natural beauty shine through and take center stage!

Blue for Summer!

I am loving bright and bold colors right now!! Everytime I go to the nail shop I always take my own polish (mostly so if they chip or fade I can repolish them and have the exact color). So, when I went to get a new polish I saw these two and was instantly drawn to them! They are China Glaze Splish Splash (bold, royal blue) and Flyin High (teal-ish). I adore these colors and they are perfect for summer!
